Bill Paquin
Chief Executive Officer
Prior to his work at Vertical Health, Bill was a Senior Executive of Medsite (acquired by WebMD), where he oversaw their growth in online physician marketing.
For the last decade, Bill has helped launch start-up companies pioneering online education and community. His work includes senior positions at HorizonLive (now Wimba), an eLearning company, and Developers.Net, an IT portal facilitating learning and collaboration in the technical community. Bil sits on the Board of Trustees for Childrens Aid and Family Services of NJ and is a proud member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association.
Bill resides in New Jersey with his wife and two sons.
Jeremy Longhurst
President-Medical Education
Jeremy has more than 15 years of experience in the spine field. In the 1990s, he served as Director of Medical Publishing, Executive Director, and President of various spine-related educational companies and foundations in the US and Europe.
In 2000, Jeremy founded BroadWater, Inc., a company focused on both online and offline spine-related education and developing websites for spine physicians and companies. BroadWater has run hundreds of spine CME meetings worldwide. In 2007, BroadWater was acquired by Vertical Health, and Jeremy now oversees all medical content and strategic relationships for Vertical Health's sites.
Janice M. Thew
Chief Administrative Officer
Jan oversees the financial and administrative functions of Vertical Health. After receiving her MBA from The University of Michigan Ross School of Business, Jan spent more than 15 years in corporate banking and corporate finance positions in various financial institutions and private equity firms in New York City. Jan is also co-founder of JETT Consulting Group, which provides financial and sales consulting services to small businesses in New Jersey.
She has also served on the Board of Directors for several non-profit civic, housing, and educational organizations for more than 10 years.
Jan lives in Berkeley Heights, NJ, with her husband. She has two children, and she’s a big fan of the Army Black Knights sports teams.
Alex Coletta
Alex started work in online direct to physician (DTP) and direct to consumer (DTC) healthcare marketing in 2000. Prior to Vertical Health, Alex was the Director of eServices for Thomson Healthcare. In this role, he worked across multiple Thomson Healthcare divisions and was responsible for developing online products for physicians including interactive continuing education websites. He worked extensively with the PDR sales and product teams to extend PDR.net's offering.
Alex was previously the Senior Interactive Developer for Medsite (acquired by WebMD), where he developed their proprietary eDetailing marketing platform and designed eDetails for more than 30 pharmaceutical brands. He also worked extensively on physician targeting/recruitment for online programs including market research surveys, eDetails, physician-loyalty programs, and continuing education.
Alex has over 14 years of creative experience including brand strategy, logo design, interactive ui/user experience design, web application design and programming, and online marketing. Alex currently heads up Vertical Health's internal creative team.
Sean Cunningham
Vice President, Advertising Solutions
With over 15 years of medical communications and medical publishing experience, Sean is an experienced executive in pharmaceutical and medical device marketing and promotion. Sean began his career in medical publishing with McMahon Publishing Group where he quickly rose to oversee 5 of their specialty publications and help to guide this business to double-digit growth. Sean then moved to Quintiles Medical Communications. Thereafter at Medsite, as a member of their sales and management team, he was a key member of the team that led Medsite's emergence as the market leader in eDetailing. Following the acquisition of Medsite by WebMD, Sean was responsible for WebMD's targeted professional promotion business unit which in only one year under his leadership became one of the top grossing and most profitable business units at the company. Sean is married, resides in Cary, NC and is the proud father of two girls - Lexi and Sara.
